NRG Energy Center Pittsburgh supplies energy-efficient and environmentally-sound district heating and/or cooling services to buildings on the north side of Pittsburgh, Pa., in a service area anchored by the Carnegie Science Center, PNC Park and Allegheny General Hospital.

Serving more than 30 customer buildings, NRG Pittsburgh provides both district heating and cooling services to a total of 6.3 million square feet of building space. We produce and distribute steam used for heating, domestic hot water, humidification and sterilization; hot water for space heating and domestic use; and chilled water for air conditioning.

NRG Energy Center Pittsburgh is a wholly owned subsidiary of NRG Thermal, an NRG Energy Inc. company. NRG Pittsburgh is a public utility regulated by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.
