Scheduled to open in early 2012, the 630,000 square feet University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro will have 237 single-patient rooms. The state-of-the-art facility will feature 21st century emerging technologies and “evidence based design” whose design components have a track record of improving the quality of patient care and enhancing productivity. It also will contain a 22,000-square-foot-emergency room with 28 patient rooms, digital diagnostics, and cardiac catheterization and vascular labs.

Located on a 50-acre site, the new UMCPP will replace the existing hospital on Witherspoon Street in Princeton.
