The system's total steam production capacity is 106,300 lb/hr. NRG Energy Center Princeton’s operating engineers will monitor and control system components through an advanced software system that will optimize operations for energy use and cost efficiency, minimizing the Medical Center’s utility cost and reducing its environmental footprint. The system also will participate in the Emergency Load Response Program for PJM, operator of the regional electric grid.
