The Energy Center delivers district cooling service to approximately 20 buildings within a 4-square-mile service area in downtown San Diego. Customers include commercial, retail and government properties.

Among the Energy Center’s customers are

    225 Broadway
  • Horton Plaza retail stores

NBC San Diego:
Breaking news and energy barriers

Previously located outside San Diego, NBC affiliate station KNSD began operating downtown after being lured there by a high-tech new building, the ability to broadcast to a live audience – and the reliability of chilled-water service from NRG Energy Center San Diego.
